1950 Chevorlet Fleetline

1950 Chevorlet Fleetline

Car was purchased in Nebraska, where the previous owner had a body-off frame restoration and painted the frame and the underside of the body. He replaced the inline 6 with a 327/350 combo, then moved onto other projects. We then took the car from this point and did the following modifications listed below.

Exterior
Incredibly clean and straight body with zero rust. All chrome and stainless intact. The paint is not the greatest, but is good driver quality. We have never seen a straighter, original '50 that has not been restored.

Brakes
Buffalo Enterprises front disc conversion, 75 Chevy rotors and calipers. Rear end is rebuilt, S-10 drum brakes. New under floor power booster and dual master cylinder. All new brake lines and hoses. Brakes are bled and stop the car very well.

Suspension
Buffalo Enterprises 2 ¼" dropped uprights. Jamco 3” drop front coil springs. Rear is original 1 ¾” leaf springs with 3” lowering blocks. All new gas shocks on all four corners. 15” radial tires, all for corners, tread is in excellent condition. New sway bar end link kit. Rebuilt kingpins.

Drive line
327 Chevy V8 with camel back heads. Edelbrock aluminum intake. Holley Carburetor, mild camshaft. Lightweight balancer. Engine has been tuned up and runs well. Transmission is a rebuilt 700R4 with a shift kit. Shifts very smoothly. Stall converter, 2000rpm. Custom built power steering rack and pinion set up. Car steers with one finger with ease. S10 rear end with 3.43 gears.

Interior
New GM style chrome tilt steering column, new leather wrapped banjo style steering wheel. Lokar tall stick shifter. New carpet kit with extra padding installed. Trunk has been completely redone. Seats, door panels, and headliner could use some attention.

Car has an awesome stance and looks killer. Rides and Drives Smoothly down the road.
